Registered Nurse – Emergency | Newcastle

An exciting opportunity exists for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join a dynamic and supportive team in the Emergency Department at a private hospital near Newcastle. This is a permanent full-time position.ABOUT THE POSITIONYour responsibilities will include:

• Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
• Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
• Ensuring patient and staff safety;
• Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members;
• Providing education and support to patients for the management of their health recovery, rehabilitation, or end-of-life needs.

CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTSThe successful applicant will possess:

• Current registration with AHPRA;
• At least 1 year of experience working in an Emergency Department;
• Demonstrated ability to assess, plan, coordinate, and prioritise care delivery needs of patients;
• Proven ability to work effectively within a team environment and autonomously as required;
• Advanced communication and customer service skills;
• ALS/ PALS certification (desirable);
• Postgraduate certificate or similar in critical care (desirable).

REMUNERATION$34.43 - $48.33 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, excluding penalties or allowances.ABOUT THE FACILITYThe hospital is an acute Advanced Surgical and Medical Hospital situated 15 km south of the Newcastle CBD.
