About the Role:
The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) provide a range of Specialist and Outpatient Services across Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital and GP Plus Health Care Centres for patients within the Southern Adelaide and greater Adelaide regions as well as country and interstate patients. This is an opportunity to join the team as an Enrolled Nurse or Registered Nurse.
As the Enrolled Nurse, you will work with a multidisciplinary team to provide person-centred care under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse. You will maintain a positive, cooperative and productive working relationship and communication with all members of the health care team as well as non-government organisations or other government organisations to meet the needs of the client group.
As the Registered Nurse, you will consolidate your knowledge and skills and develop in capability through continuous professional development and experience relevant to the Outpatient setting. You will provide supervision and guidance to students, Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses to support their development of skills and knowledge. You will use your experience to assists in the development and promotion of a culture of customer focus which ensures patients and other customers are involved in decision making as appropriate.
To be a successful applicant you will need:
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate
Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team * Demonstrated competence in the outpatient's healthcare setting nursing practice in accordance with the relevant standards.
- Proven experience and competence in complex wound dressings and/or minor operation procedural competence or relevant specialty clinic knowledge and skill.
