The Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) is seeking highly skilled, motivated, and caring nurses to join the Neonatal Unit within the Women's and Children's Division!
The Neonatal Unit at Flinders Medical Centre is recognised as a leader in the development of neonatal specific information systems, with a dedication to providing innovative, high-quality service with a significant research profile.
About the role:
Reporting to the Nurse Unit Manager this role is integral to the Neonatal Unit. Duties for the role will include:
- Specialising in providing supportive health care to newborn infants, providing compassionate and understanding care to patients and their families.
- The Flinders Medical Centre, NNU is committed to building experience in contemporary neonatal nursing care and practices and are committed to continuous improvement and development of your multi-disciplinary skills to ensure optimum patient outcomes for these babies.
About you:
We are particularly seeking nurses with Neonatal qualifications and/ or experience and offer a welcoming working environment, however all nurses and midwives with the wish to work in this area are encouraged to apply.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse or Midwife by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate,
- Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills both independently and within a team,
- The ability to be, creative, innovative, and flexible when approaching issues within a healthcare setting,
- A commitment to providing family-centred care across a diverse range of patients and their families.
