Salary- Southern Adelaide Local Health Network - Flinders Eye Centre - Day Ophthalmic Surgical Unit
- Salary $70,535 - $96,242 p.a. (pro rata) RN/M1 | Temporary and Ongoing Role's Available at Full Time or Part Time
Join the Southern Adelaide Local Health Network (SALHN) in the Flinders Eye Centre Clinic. The eye clinic offers public and private services for people with medical conditions of the eye and manages all types of ophthalmological problems.
About the Role:
As the Registered nurse, your duties may include:
- Providing direct person centred nursing care and individual case management to patients on a shift by shift basis in a defined clinical area with increasing autonomy over time.
- Participating in quality improvement activities that contribute to patient/client safety, risk minimisation and safe work activities within the practice setting.
- Contributing to procedures for effectively dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours.
- Providing health promotion and education, to patients/clients or groups and carers to improve the health outcomes of individual.
- Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and holds a current practicing certificate.
- Demonstrated competence in Ophthalmology Day Surgery environment nursing practice
- Knowledge and understanding of common Ophthalmology disorders and their surgical treatment modalities
- Effective communication skills including, problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
