About the August 2024 Graduate intake
At Mater we proudly offer a range of programs for newly qualified Registered Nurses to work across Mater hospitals in our , and campuses.
Our Registered Nurse Graduate Programs offer the opportunity to work in a supportive hospital environment for your first year of nursing, allowing you to learn on the job, as you transition from academic learning to professional practice.
The duration of the graduate program is 12 months, after which you will transfer into a Registered Nurse post-graduate. We offer a range of programs, across a variety of clinical areas. We offer 64 hours per fortnight on a permanent and will commence on Monday 19 August 2024.
As part of our nursing staff, you will need to be available to participate in a rotational shift roster (including morning, evening and night shift) on a 24/7 roster.
About you
We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated nursing graduates, who are excited to learn and develop within a world class health care setting. You will have the opportunity to broaden your clinical knowledge though education, strong support, coaching and mentoring.
In order to be applicable for our graduate program; you will have completed a nursing qualification within the past 12 months and have less than six months or 900 hours post-graduate registered nursing experience.
