About the role
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing safe, effective and appropriate patient care in a patient-focused environment. We are a 37 bed acute surgical ward, caring for post operative Orthopaedic patients. The role is for a fully rotational shift worker, with at least 1 year experience working in an acute setting. Key Responsibilities
Care of patients both pre and post surgery
Routine observations, documentation and ability to escalate care when required
Risk mitigation and clinical assessment
Providing patient education and collaborative patient centred care
Wound care, both complex and surgical wounds
Safe medication management
What you bring
AHPRA Registration
Demonstrated recent clinical experience in an acute care and/or hospital setting (been working for a minimum of one year)
Ability to work unsupervised, proficiently and in an organised manner during periods of high demand and activity
Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Demonstrated communication, interpersonal skills and customer service skills
A desire to join a team committed to the care of others in a mission based organisation
