As a Registered Nurse at the Nimbin MPS, you'll join our supportive team in coordinating and delivering high quality person-centred nursing care.
The Multi-Purpose Service (MPS) model in smaller communities is aimed at integrating a range of health services under one management structure, including acute care, respite and palliative care, emergency, allied health, primary health and community health services.
Also known as the Rainbow Region, this area is blessed with stunning forests and waterfalls, fertile farming land, artistic villages and relaxed seaside communities. For a different type of scene, you can drive to the Gold Coast in less than 2 hours, or Brisbane in under 3 hours.
If you have:
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1)
- First Line Emergency Care Course (FLECC) accreditation or equivalent qualification or willingness to obtain within 12 months of employment
- Demonstrated recent experience as a ‘Hospital/Ward in Charge' or similar leadership role
- Recent clinical experience in an acute health care setting and understanding of the Aged Care setting
- Problem-solving skills and a multidisciplinary team approach in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care
- Effective communication through the use of information technology, written, verbal and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge and understanding of person-centered care, evidence-based practice and quality improvement
