Job description

Employment Type: Permanent Full Time, Part Time and Casual positions available.

Classification: YP2 to YP9 based on experience

Salary Range:  A$67,527 to A$95,378 plus Superannuation.

About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and motivated Registered Nurse to join the Medical Unit team. As a Registered Nurse at WDHS you will bring strong clinical capabilities with a belief in exceptional patient care.

In this role you will support and be responsible for the delivery of expert clinical care and be able to problem solve and assess each patient’s needs, in order for care to be planned and implemented. 

We have a 23 bed Medical Unit with staff demonstrating a strong commitment to upholding patient centred care.

You will bring:

  • Exceptional and demonstrated decision making skills consistent with experience is essential.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
  • Effective contemporary nursing practices
  • High levels of energy
  • AHPRA Registration

The successful applicant will hold, or be able to obtain, a current National Criminal Police Check. Dependant on your position you may be required to obtain a Working with Children Check Clearance and / or NDIS Worker Screening Check. All successful applicants are to comply with WDHS immunisation and vaccination requirements including COVID and Booster.
