We are a social and clinical model of care, featuring thoughtfully designed, traditional homes across a range of suburbs in Sydney. Each home has up to 10 residents living together and participating in day-to-day activities, supported with 24/7 personalised care provided by our Registered Nurses, Social Workers and Homemakers.
One of the first of its kind in Australia, and founded in 2012 by Tamar Krebs, GHA is centred around the restorative nature of ‘home’. We have 16 homes in Sydney and plan to open more in the next 12mths. Our high staff to resident ratio allows us the opportunity to offer our residents an individualised routine, and to deliver genuine person-centred care. We support our residents to flourish and help them to stay engaged with the local community. We encourage them to be involved in the day-to-day running of the homes including cooking, gardening, and household chores. Our social model is underpinned by a high standard of clinical care and case management.
We have many wonderful people in our organisation working day and night to help our residents live beyond their diagnosis. Core to our team development is our motto – ‘Care More’. What Are We Looking For?
Our model of care is unique and special, so we’re looking for a Registered Nurse with similar attributes. It’s likely you’ve worked in the dementia care field for some time and feel that there is room for improvement. You are passionate about improving the lives of people with dementia and helping them to thrive beyond a dementia diagnosis. Pursuing excellence on behalf of those in your care is of paramount importance.
Due to the planned growth of GHA over the next 12 months, we are looking for Registered Nurses for night shift.
Candidate Requirements
To be successful in this role you will need to:
- Be comfortable working autonomously and being part of a team in a culture that encourages high performance
- Have a current AHPRA registration
- Be self-motivated and flexible
- Have the necessary visa and/or working rights in Australia
