Our Journey
Ward 2 is located at the Monash Cancer Centre, Moorabbin Hospital. We are a 16 bed medical oncology unit, treating patients with solid tumours and blood disorders, ranging from diagnosis, active treatment to palliation and end of life care. We have a close working relationship with surgical oncology, radiotherapy provided by Peter McCallum Cancer Institute, allied health services and palliative care teams. We are also part of the Southern Melbourne Integrated Care Service (SMICS) which supports the Cancer services at Monash Health, Peninsula Health, Cabrini Health and Alfred Health.
We currently have a Part Time Ongoing (.63 EFT - 48hours p/fortnight) opportunity working a 24/7 rotating roster.
A Day in the Life

This is a clinical role responsible for delivering excellent patient outcomes. Key areas of focus include:
- ensuring all your communications with patients, visitors and your colleagues are always friendly, courteous and professional
- carrying out compliance and improvement activities against the key elements of quality and safety
- being responsible for the quality of care at point of care
- provide Oncological support and information to patients through evidence-based results
- communicating effectively with the Oncology Multidisciplinary Team.

- Current AHPRA registration
- Considerable recent experience within Oncology, essential
- Chemo experience - highly desirable
