Overview
An exciting and challenging role is available for a self-motivated and innovative Registered Nurse looking to work within the Operating Theatres at Angaston Hospital. With excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationships across the board, you will be responsible for assisting with the provision of professional high quality patient care within the Operating Room setting aimed at improving patient health outcomes. With the opportunity to use a variety of skills, your duties will involve assessing patients’ needs, planning, implementing and coordinating appropriate service delivery options and communicating changes in condition and care, in addition to monitoring client care plans and participating in clinical auditing and evaluative research to ensure appropriate patient care outcomes are achieved on a daily basis. You will be registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia, and hold or be eligible to hold a current practicing certificate. This will be supported by demonstrated competence in peri-operative nursing practice in accordance with the appropriate standards of practice, specifically anaesthetics, recovery, scrubbing and scouting skills, endoscopy reprocessing, pre and post operative surgery and day surgery. A team player with the demonstrated ability to think on your feet and work within changing environments, you will bring a proven track record in working effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Effective communication skills, including problem solving, conflict resolution and negotiation skills will be essential.
