About the Registered Nurse - Orthopaedics role
You'll be involved in caring for patients with musculoskeletal conditions, including after surgery. Your duties will encompass pain management, wound care, mobilisation assistance, educating patients about self-care post-discharge, and monitoring for complications.
You'll work closely with a multidisciplinary team to support patients' recovery and rehabilitation, ensuring they regain strength and mobility.
This role requires strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to provide comprehensive care to patients during their recovery journey.

Qualifications and Experience required

• 3 years current experience in Orthopaedics Nursing (You're not just experienced in orthopaedics; you're passionate about it)
• AHPRA
• ANMAC (if overseas)
• Hold a relevant post-basic qualification or substantial experience in specialty or willing to work towards this
• ALS Competence
• At least 2 years of recent experience in this role. (If you are an overseas Nurse requiring 186 visa sponsorship, this is 3 years of recent experience in a comparable health system to Australia)
• Excellent Communication skills
• It is desirable that you hold a Postgraduate qualification in specialty nursing, but not essential
