About the role:
Working as a Registered Nurse alongside a multidisciplinary team within the Radiology and Nuclear medicine team you will care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures.
This is a Full-Time permanent role working a rotating roster with shift times varying between a 6:30am start and midnight finish, 7 days a week. You will also at times be required to be on call.
The key responsibilities of this role include:
- Act as surgical scrub/scout including administration of procedural sedation for patients having a variety of routine and complex Interventional Radiology procedures.
- Provide post-procedural care to patients after Interventional Radiology procedures including post sedation monitoring and responsibility for safe discharge.
- Prepare, assist with, and provide care to patients having diagnostic examinations across a variety of imaging modalities in Radiology and Nuclear Medicine.
What we are looking for:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse with one year experience post-graduation within a clinical setting.
- A highly motivated person who has a passion for continuous professional development and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated elevated level of empathy and strong emotional intelligence.
- Proven customer service focus and problem-solving ability.
- Specialised clinical skills e.g., conscious sedation administration, scrub/scout for interventional procedures and standing orders.
- Previous experience in Radiology, critical care or perioperative environment (desirable)
- Proficiency in interpretation of cardiac rhythms and Advanced Life Support training (desirable)
- IV cannulation accreditation (desirable)
