- Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
The Registered Nurse is an integral part of the multidisciplinary healthcare team, providing nursing care to patients and clients of the health service; and leading, directing and supervising other nurses and care roles in the team, such as Assistants in Nursing and Enrolled Nurses, to support quality care for patients/ clients.
You’ll be responsible for coordinating nursing and health care to facilitate positive outcomes, timely and accurate completion of reports, undertaking nursing interventions to support patient/client and practice in accordance with Nursing Standards of Practice.
The CCLHD Transition to Professional Practice 2nd Year Specialty Program provides the opportunity for professional growth and development of clinical skills in a specific speciality area.
The following TPP2 specialty programs are offered: Emergency Department, Cardiology and Procedural Suite, Cancer Care Services, Paediatrics, Intensive Care Services, general and Specialty Surgery, Perioperative Services; Instrument and Circulating and Post Anaesthetic Recovery Unit.
