The opportunity
Vacenti is seeking a Night Shift Casual/Part-Time or Full-time Registered Nurse to join the Insert Team at Lorocco, Carindale, QLD. Reporting to, and working closely with the Facility Manager and Care Coordinator, this role will coordinate care and supervise care staff to achieve the best possible care and service for our residents and their families. The Registered Nurse provides leadership, support, and guidance to other care staff to ensure appropriate care is delivered to the residents, acts as a resource for staff.
The Registered Nurse practices within a professional and ethical framework including assessment and care planning in line with Vacenti’s policies and procedures. The Registered Nurse is also responsible for monitoring care delivery and the effectiveness of outcomes in partnership with residents and their representatives. Your main responsibilities will include:
- Acts as a team leader to organise and coordinate care and provide leadership to care workers.
- Demonstrate effective communication with all stakeholders and maintains effective relationships.
- Actively promote professional nursing and a safe workplace and wellbeing of others.
- Expert skills and knowledge in Assessments, care planning and evaluating care for the elderly in our care.
- Maintain the provision of high-quality nursing care procedures to residents.
- Demonstrates a positive attitude and commitment to the organisation.
- Presents in a professional, well-groomed manner that demonstrates respect for our residents at all times.
- Work collaboratively with other staff to deliver the best possible personal care.
- Work both autonomously and in partnership with other staff to meet the essential requirements of the role.
- Demonstrate effective time management and problem-solving abilities.
- Maintains confidentiality of information and uses discretion and tact at all times.
- Demonstrate effective communication and interpersonal skills which reflect the values of respect for the dignity, privacy and individuality of the residents, staff and volunteers.
- Go the extra mile to meet residents’ preferences and expectations, to respect the individual and understand the person within.
- Providing professional, caring clinical care in line with Vacenti’s values.
To be considered, you will need:
- To be able to start immediately.
- Valid AHPRA Registration.
- Ability to work across multiple locations.
- Compassionate and understanding towards residents, their families and team members.
- Enjoy working as part of a team but capable to work independently and in partnership across our wider teams.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the provision of professional clinical care.
- High level spoken and written English literacy skills.
- To be considered for this opportunity you must have the right to live and work in Australia and provide evidence of your COVID vaccination status. If you are successful, you will be required to obtain a national police clearance prior to commencement.
