Why this role matters The Salvation Army is one of Australia’s largest providers of alcohol and other drug services. We offer a range of services including Harm Reduction and Primary Health Services as well as a range of treatment types (including residential treatment centres, community-based support programs, counselling and withdrawal management services).

About the role In the role of Registered Nurse, you will provide clinical supervision and be responsible for coordinating the delivery of safe, effective and individualised care to our care recipients and their families (including managing staff and physical resources) and assisting residents to lead an active and meaningful life as independently as possible in keeping with the Salvation Army's Mission, Vision and Values. You will successfully Complete relevant documentation in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the care needs of residents.

Maintain good clinical records and accurate documentation to ensure legal adequacy and the completion of ACFI requirements. Maintain appropriate ordering, management, and administration of medications in accordance with policy and procedures. Comply with the conditions, amendments and regulations of related acts e.g. Poisons and Therapeutic

Goods Act 1996. Liaise with doctors and other health professionals and follow directions for administration of medications and treatments in accordance with legislative guidelines. Complete the necessary reports, Care Plans and other documentation required.

PLEASE NOTE THIS POSITION IS FOR NIGHT SHIFTS This is a permanent, part-time role position located in Eagle Heights, QLD. Salary and conditions are in accordance with the Registered Nurses Award Level 2.

You will have Registration as per AHPRA Experience in or ability to work in the Alcohol and Drug treatment field. Demonstrated ability in the supervision of other workers and to work as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to identify, develop and implement service delivery initiatives that will improve the quality of service delivery of the Withdrawal Unit.

Sound knowledge of recovery and drug & alcohol issues. Demonstrated ability to deal with unpredictable situations and behaviour. Ability to use a range of computer software programs.

Current driver’s licence. Have a minimum of two years clean time (if applicable). What we offer
