AddressExciting opportunities are available for passionate Registered Nurses to join the Perioperative Unit at a private hospital in Melbourne on a permanent full-time basis, with the option to have part-time opportunities considered as well.
ABOUT THE ROLE
As a Registered Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering evidence-based nursing care;
- Liaising with the multi-disciplinary team;
- Ensuring patient and staff safety;
- Supervising, directing, and guiding nursing team members; Enrolled Nurses (ENs) to deliver patient care;
- Delivering education and support to individuals/patients for the management of their health recovery.
REQUIREMENTS
- Current Registration with AHPRA
- At least 2 years of perioperative experience is essential;
- Post Graduate Certificate in Perioperative Nursing (or working towards);
- Working with Children check;
- Commitment to Quality Patient Care;
- Compliance with ACQSHC National standards;
- Sound clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills;
- Excellent communication and customer service skills;
- Ability to work well independently and within a team;
- Basic computer skills.
A salary ranges between $34.56 and $46.22 per hour, based on your years of relevant nursing experience.

The hospital, located in Melbourne's northwestern suburbs, is a fully accredited 186-bed major surgical, acute medical, and emergency facility. The hospital provides a wide range of services to its community with a 12 cubicle Emergency Department, 5 operating theatres, a 12-bed critical care complex, and a busy Day Procedure Unit. The hospital specialises in orthopaedics, general surgery, general medicine, oncology, cardiology, urology, plastic surgery, ENT, and gynaecology.
