Rural LAP is a component of the Australian Government's rural workforce capacity agenda. We support eligible Aged Care workers, nurses, midwives, obstetricians, anaesthetists, and allied health professionals.
We are looking for skilled and flexible Registered Nurses who are ready to deploy at short notice to residential Aged Care facilities around Rural and Remote Australia. These are Full Time, Fixed Term positions that will see you engaged full time until 30th April 2024. This is a unique opportunity for experienced Registered Nurses to make a real difference where it is needed.
Responsibilities of this role include:
- Deploying at short notice to assist Residential Aged Care Facilities experiencing staff shortages
- Providing high quality clinical care to residents of Aged Care Facilities
- Working collaboratively with other team members at the facility
- Frequent local, regional, remote, or interstate travel at short notice

Essential Experience and Qualifications:
- Current unrestricted registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum of 3-year clinical experience as RN - recent experience in an Aged Care environment is Essential (within 12-24 months is preferred)
- Ability to remain calm and operate effectively in an unstructured, rapidly changing environment
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Reliable, compassionate and a team player.
