We are looking for Full-Time, Part-Time, or Casual nurses to join our fantastic team at a leading medical centre – Townsville GP Superclinic in Hyde Park.
Availability to work a minimum of 3 shifts per week during hours between 8am and 9:30pm Monday to Friday and rotational Saturday between 9am and 5:30pm would be preferred. Days will be discussed during interview.
You will be working collaboratively with the GPs, allied health professionals and support staff to provide integrated care for our patients.
Duties include, but not limited to:
- Provide the highest level of patient care possible
- Triaging patients and prioritising emergency situations
- Assisting in all treatment room procedures
- Assisting GPs with clinical and surgical procedures
- Wound dressing and removal of sutures
- Infection control, sterilisation, immunisations, and vaccinations
- Assisting GPs with chronic disease management
- Health assessments, preparation, and review of care plans
- Performing ECGs and other tests such as spirometry and audiograms
- Supporting Enrolled Nurses (applicable for Registered Nurse position)
- Registering patients for eHealth
The successful applicant must have:
- Full working rights in Australia
- Current AHPRA Registration
- Current Indemnity Insurance
- Great time management and multi-tasking ability
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Outstanding conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to follow policies and procedures
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and collaboratively
- Excellent computer skills
Desirable:
- General Practice experience preferred.
- Experience with Best Practice software is an advantage.
- Any additional experience and qualifications in immunisations, care plan and health assessments would be favourable.
