Thrive Family Practice is an award-winning doctor owned general practice in the heart of Glenelg South. We cover all aspects of family healthcare, and specialise in providing high quality, primary care.
We are one of 22 clinics Australia -wide to have been awarded a grant for interdisciplinary holistic endometriosis care.
An excellent opportunity has become available for a casual registered nurse to join our Practice team 2-3 days per week. We are seeking a Practice Nurse/Endo Women’s Health Nurse, they must be motivated, with the ability to work both autonomously and in a team environment.
They must be passionate about patient care with excellent communication skills and working as part of an interdisciplinary team. You will liaise, support and guide women with endometriosis and persistent pelvic pain. You will have experience in general practice, childhood and adult immunisations.

Responsibilities:
- Chronic disease management experience, Care Plans and Health Assessments
- Immunisations for Children/Adults
- Wound Management
- Cold Chain Management
- ECG
- BP 24 Monitoring Machine
- Assisting GPs with treatment room procedures
- Result and reminder recall.
- Infection control
- Triage
- Recalls/Reminders
- Ordering Vaccines and Consumables
- Iron Infusions desired but not required.
- Coaching and working with patients towards behaviour change.
Skills and Experience:
- Skills in health coaching and/or motivational interviewing or willingness to undertake training in this area.
- Skills and/or experience working with women with endometriosis/persistent pelvic pain or willingness to undertake training in this area.
- Demonstrated patient focused approach in service provision.
- Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
- Proficient computer skills and working knowledge of Best Practice software.
Requirements:
- General Practice Nurse Experience 3 years or more preferred.
- Skills in health coaching and/or motivational interviewing or willingness to undertake training in this area.
- Skills and/or experience working with women with endometriosis/persistent pelvic pain or willingness to undertake training in this area.
- Current unrestricted AHPRA Registration
- Current CPR
- Current Police Clearance
- Current Working with Children and Vulnerable People clearance
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team setting with an emphasis on positive team structure.
- Experience with Best Practice software.
- Competent with computers
- Up to date with own immunisations
