Registered/Clinical Psychologist – Contractor position (part-time)

We provide psychological therapy to adults aged 18 years+ for a range of mental health concerns. Our practice is committed to helping clients improve their well-being and overall quality of life.
We are currently seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered/Clinical Psychologist to join our team in a Contractor role 2-3 days per week (flexible). Our practice supports you to work within your clinical interest areas in a way that prevents burnout and supports your wellbeing.
Position Overview:
As a contracting Psychologist, you will have the opportunity to work in a supportive environment where you can focus on providing high quality and compassionate therapy to a range of clients. This position offers flexibility in scheduling and the ability to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evidence-based individual therapy to adults, presenting with a range of mental health concerns.
- Maintain thorough and accurate client records.
- Complete reports back to referring parties (e.g., GPs).
- Collaborate with referrers and the practice team to ensure high quality client care.
- Stay current with best practices in psychology through ongoing professional development and supervision.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards of practice.
The successful candidate will have:
- Previous experience within a private practice setting.
- Ability to work independently and confidence to manage their clinical caseload including client engagement and follow up.
- Full registration with AHPRA and ability to apply for a Medicare provider number.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Empathetic and client-centred approach to therapy.
- Strong commitment to evidence-based practice.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Willingness to complete training in Medicare practices to ensure compliance.
