Appointments may be made from this pool until 31/12/2024.Appointments for this position will not commence until 2025.Position Profile: The Registrar – Trainee – Clinical Haematology will be an integral part of a team committed to providing a diagnostic pathology service and clinical service in haematology as directed by the Head of Department. Under the supervision of Consultant Haematologists, the Trainee Registrar will provide diagnostic haematology services, report, and interpretive comment on haematology results, validate results, liaise with medical staff in the follow-up of abnormal haematology results and advise on appropriate further investigations, and provide advice on blood product administration. Laboratory training will be undertaken in PathWest Laboratory Service. In addition, the Trainee Registrar will also provide Clinical Haematology services including out-patient clinics, consults and in-patient management as required. Opportunities for clinical and translational research are available. Trainee placements are available at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital, Royal Perth Hospital and Fiona Stanley Hospital.Area Profiles:
