Registrar/Senior Registrar Acute Medicine

The Role:
We are seeking Acute Medicine Registrars/Senior Registrars to work in the department of Sub-acute, Aged & Community Services - Hospital in the home.

You will provide care to a range of medical, surgical, and sub-specialty patients who require acute medical management that can be delivered in the home environment.

HITH registrar positions have accreditation with RACP for Basic Physician Training; RACP & ACRRM for GP & Rural Remote trainees; and ACEM for Emergency trainees. This is an excellent position for registrars who are interested in providing acute medical care in the community.

Broad case mix - Patients are admitted from inpatient wards or the emergency department, they can also be admitted directly from the community on to the service. These patients are then cared for in community health centres, their homes, or residential aged care facilities.

The Hospital:
The 600 bed Hospital is the tertiary referral centre for the state, it provides a hospital service for a catchment of 250,000.
