Senior Registrar/Registrar (Unaccredited) General Surgery

The Role:
We are seeking Surgical Registrars/Senior Registrars (unaccredited) to join a large tertiary hospital to commence in 2025!

Clinical work in this role involves managing acute / emergency cases as part of the Department of General Surgery’s Emergency Surgical Unit (ESU). There is also involvement in outpatient and elective services. The Department of General Surgery offers the major sub-specialty areas (colorectal, UGI, HPB, breast, endocrine) and there would be some opportunities for exposure to those fields. During the year there may be rotations (of ~10 weeks duration) in Paediatric Surgery and/or Trauma, and there is some exposure to Vascular Surgery after-hours. There are also opportunities to be involved with other teaching and research activities.

The Hospital:
The 600 bed Hospital is the tertiary referral centre for the state, it provides a hospital service for a catchment of 250,000.
