The role is a critical position in the Registry team, whose function is to support the Archbishop as he licenses and authorises those in ministry in the Diocese.

About the role

In this role you will assist with delivering the authorisation of lay ministers and licensing of clergy within the Diocese, by:

• Administering the process for management of Clergy licences and Lay authorities
• Assisting the Registrar with other licences
• Assisting in the maintenance of data and correspondence using our Salesforce database
• Assisting with inquiries and applications while providing excellent customer service
• Supporting other members of the team during peak periods and specific projects.

About You

We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic individual with a background as an assistant or in administration, particularly with large databases where accuracy and information management are critical. The ideal candidate will have the following:

• Experience working with Salesforce (preferred)
• Ability to work independently, managing your own time and outcomes
• Proactive, positive attitude
• Strong willingness to learn
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Exceptional attention to detail

Consistent with the ethos and values of the Sydney Anglican Offices, applicants for the position must have a demonstrated Christian commitment and are an active member of a church. Knowledge of the Diocese is an advantage.
