Contact Details: eliot.palmer@vba.vic.gov.auPosition DetailsA 12 month fixed term position, the Regulatory Learning & Development Manager will play an essential role in putting VBA's regulatory policy and practice reforms into practice by progressing the professionalisation of our regulatory workforce.This role will focus on designing and establishing a learning framework for the regulatory capability of VBA's authorised and delegated staff (principally, plumbing and building inspectors).The VBA is undergoing significant change and reform, including in the policy frameworks and role expectations for compliance staff. Accordingly, success in the area of learning and development will rely on how the successful candidate connects and collaborates with other reform and organisational development leads, to specify the role of Regulatory Learning and development within broader frameworks for staff capability and workforce development.Who we are looking for: * Previous experience in developing and executing L&D programs within a regulatory framework or setting.
- Current knowledge of effective learning and development methods and adult learning principles .
- Familiarity with relevant learning platforms and practices and ability to recommend, develop and deliver learning programs.
- Strong leadership and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop a motivating and collaborative culture amongst team members and external stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or a demonstrated strong understanding of adult learning principles, instructional design models in a regulatory setting would be highly regarded.
