What you’ll be doing
As a member of the Human Resources Leadership team, the Learning & Development Manager role plays a crucial role in supporting Leaders, Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) and the organisation in the development, defining, implementation, embedding and evolution of learning and development strategies, approaches and culture across EACH, aligned to and in support of current and future organisational and sector strategies, plans and reforms.
In this varied role your responsibilities will include:
- Providing effective and supportive line management to the Solution Lead and their work.
- Facilitating the development and implementation of the organisations learning and development strategy and associated policies and frameworks to enable the organisation to deliver on its strategic commitments.
- Implementing the strategy that considers current and future capability needs of the organisation.
- Partnering with people leaders, clinical leaders and the Service Design, Organisational Development and Capability and HR teams, to design and develop strategic and holistic approaches to learning within a decentralised learning model.
- Working closely with the HR Director and the broader HR team to design and plan the upskill of leaders to enable them to effectively deliver on their people, culture and wellbeing responsibilities.
- Partnering with Subject Matter Experts (SME's) to address changes in the sector and/or organisation, as well as to meet professional and legal requirements; assisting leaders and SMEs to plan responsive, realistic, compliant, effective and/or relevant learning solutions to support changes.
- Consulting and partnering with key stakeholders to continuously enhance learner experiences at EACH.
- Contributing to the creation, sourcing and curation of a wide variety of learning assets.

** Please note that this is not a facilitator position and there will not be much need for you to facilitate learning. The role acts more as an internal strategic consultant who will assist in thinking through solutions opportunities for the organisation.
You might be the ideal candidate if you're a seasoned learning solutions specialist with great problem-solving and communication abilities, a human centred approach, an ability to think outside the box, strong attention to detail, and solid IT and systems navigation skills!
We are looking for someone with:
- Demonstrated experience leading a team.
- Demonstrated experience developing and implementing strategic plans.
- Strong IT/systems skills and demonstrable experience working with Learning Management Systems.
- Strong data and analytical skills
- Strong customer/end user focus and the ability to build strong working relationships with key stakeholders.
- Well-developed organisational skills and a commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Experience in the not for profit or health sector would be well regarded but not essential.
- Experience with e-learning authoring tools and learning design well regarded.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience.
