As the Rehabilitation Registrar you will provide day to day clinical management of Musculoskeletal, Amputee and Spinal patients under the care and direction of the Director of Rehabilitation Services and Rehabilitation Consultants at St Vincent's Hospital. Responsibilities include clinical management of rehabilitation inpatients and participation in inpatient rehabilitation assessments and outpatient amputee clinics.
Responsibilities include:
Clinical management of rehabilitation inpatients
- Management of rehabilitation inpatients including Amputee, Spinal and Musculoskeletal patients
- Participation in training, teaching and research
- Participation in Saturday morning Rehab and GEM cover (approx. 1 in 6)
- Supervision of Interns
- Amputee clinic
- High Risk Foot Clinic
- Weekly sessions with supervisors
- Weekly AFRM registrar tutorials
- Fortnightly St Vincent's Hospital rehabilitation in-service programme
- Weekly SVHM medical grand rounds

The Fitzroy Rehabilitation ward is co-located with Acute Services. The ward has 25 beds divided between Neurological and Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation teams. Each team is staffed by 1 Consultant, 1 Registrar and 1 intern. The Amputee, Young Adults with Complex Disability Clinic, High Risk Foot Clinic and High Risk Foot Clinic are based at the Fitzroy .
