About the role.....
As a member of the Industry Engagement team, you will be accountable for cultivating and managing strategic relationships with businesses and other relevant entities across the freight, rail, and Construction industries, actively promoting and driving the adoption of GS1 standards and services.
Establishing yourself as a trusted advisor, you will support your Key Accounts in understanding how GS1 standards and services can align with and advance their respective priorities and contribute to the overall success of their initiatives. Playing a pivotal role in steering transformative change, you will actively contribute to shaping the future of these sectors, thereby playing a key role in supporting Australia's economic growth.
Examples of key tasks include:
- Identifying and cultivating new business opportunities and establishing strategic partnerships, across each industry sector with entities such as government agencies, industry associations, regulatory bodies, or any other relevant stakeholders who have influence in the sectors.
- Working closely with Key Accounts to support the delivery of projects by understanding their business needs and offering optimal solutions.
- Leading industry specific projects, initiatives and initial implementations.
- Representing GS1 Australia at industry events, local advisory and local/global working groups.
- Collaborating closely with our marketing team to contribute to the development of supporting materials, including industry guidelines, case studies, press releases, brochures, and other relevant content.
About you:
You have exposure and experience within one or more of these industry sectors, and even if limited to one, you possess the ability to navigate and understand the dynamics of the other sectors.
In addition, we are seeking applicants who possess:
- An understanding of supply chain principles and practices tailored to the specific domains of freight, rail, and Construction.
- Proven experience in business development, account management and/relationship management roles.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, with a demonstrated ability to address diverse audiences.
- Robust problem-solving abilities, coupled with the ability to identify, analyse, and successfully implement effective solutions.
- A proficiency in negotiation and are adept at building value-based, long-lasting relationships.
- An ability to identify and understand the business needs and challenges faced by your accounts, coupled with the capability to offer tailored solutions.
- Demonstrated talent in motivating stakeholders, fostering collaboration, and driving continuous improvement for project success.
