Job Title: Release Engineer
Contract - 6*6 month
Experience Level: 5+ to 8 years
Location: Sydney, Australia
Job Description: Release Engineer
· Knowledge and experience of a release orchestration tool, preferably XL Release
· 5+ years’ experience, preferably Omnia (Hadoop Big Data Platform) including expertise in writing complex queries.
· Highly conversant on Unix/Linux operating systems.
· Experience and knowledge on Github, Octopus, Team city, Jenkins, JFrog, Oracle and scheduling tool like Autosys or any other scheduling tool.
· Experience and knowledge on XLR tool would be a big plus.
· Should have used Confluence and JIRA
· Experience of creating/reviewing well documented change records using change control tools such as MyService or ServiceNow
· Support release team in the automation from deployment and Process automation point of view.
· Best practices for software delivery
· Domain expertise in systems engineering, programming languages, architecture frameworks and commercial/open source solutions
· Combination of analytical mindset and business impact
· Strong communication, influencing and facilitating skillsets, and able to discuss at the right level for whomever you communicate.
· Knowledge and expertise of continuous delivery and continuous integration at enterprise scale
