Your role
Due to ongoing expansion, we are looking for a full-time Telecommunications Engineer to join our team on a full-time basis. Your key responsibilities and tasks will include:
Your main responsibilities will be:
• Designing and building telecommunications networks and systems
• Interface with the final user team to ensure that our customer is meeting the expectations of the final user and its systems and to ensure alignment of commission and safety assurance goals and objectives.
• Analysing current systems to determine issues including assessing performance and advising on short and long term plans for enhancing the current systems
• Perform physical troubleshooting of the systems installed on site, including system tests
• Reporting on any system issues including managing defects and tracking their resolution into customer internal tool
• Working on new engineering projects by preparing proposals and developing new telecommunications systems including preparing drawings and specifications
• Liaising with customer for T&C coordination on site activities.
• Support the management team across all documentation deliverables and processes
• Support planning and scheduling of commissioning activities and workstream in an Agile context (JIRA)
• Ensuring compliance with all laws and regulations
Requirements
• 2-5 years of experience
• Bachelor degree or higher in telecommunication or electronic
• Relevant experience in Communications system
• Knowledge in one of the following technologies (design, interface, and installation):
o Passenger Information Display System (PIDS)
o Public Address System (PAS)
o Hearing In The Loop
• Practical experience in System engineering, IVVQ and Test & Comissioning
• Able to read and understand wiring and electrical diagram
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with minimum supervision
• Familiar with Agile methodology and Jira tool
• Knowledge in Python and/or Shell scripting and/or other related programming language can be a plus.
Salary for this role will be between 70,000 - 80,000 AUD (+ super), dependent on experience.
