We use the power of technology to deliver technology services that move the world.DXC are seeking applicants for a permanent Release Management role supporting a large government department.Successful applicants will excel at customer service and be able to quickly develop business relationships with all stakeholders and service providers whilst admirably representing DXC. You will need to be a highly driven, detailed-oriented professional who thrives under pressure, can multitask efficiently and demonstrate a keen sense of ownership and accountability.Mandatory· Must hold or attain (and maintain) an Australian Federal Government Baseline Security Clearance (or equiv) and therefore must be an Australian Citizen.· Must be willing to work outside of business hours including nights and weekends.Key Responsibilities· Manage high volume notifications of Application and Infrastructure releases via email and Service Management queues for our client.· Plan, coordinate and deploy changes scheduled on a daily, weekly or monthly basis.· Attend and run weekly meetings with clients to understand their requirements to plan for releases.· Investigate and assess new work with internal/external teams and service providers.· Participate in a rotating shift environment inclusive of weeknights and weekend releases.· Manage and coordinate technical resources to facilitate resolution during complex issues.· Administer detailed release schedules and post implementation handover documents.· Create highly detailed release plans.· Triage and manage release notifications and tasks.· Maintain strict adherence to all processes and procedures through the change and release lifecycle.· Identify, manage and mitigate any potential risk associated with releases.· Participate in weekly team meetings.Skills and ExperienceEssential· Excellent verbal, communication and documentation skills.· Excellent leadership skills.· Highly motivated and self-driven.· Attention to detail.· Proficient with MS Project and/or MS Excel.· Ability to report on releases to all levels of management and technical experts.· Willingness to learn about a broad range of technologies.Desirable· IT experience in a support or client service role· Experience in troubleshooting and resolving IT related problems· Software product development lifecycle experience· Experience in writing procedural or training documents· Prior experience in Release Manager role· Experience in Project Management role· Work experience with or within Government department· Understanding of ITIL principles or current ITIL certificationTrust, Transform & Thrive with a company whose mission is to lead clients on their digital transformation journeys, DXC Technology will be recognized globally as a force multiplier, enabling clients to seize the opportunities presented by today's rapidly changing technologies.If you are a self-starter with a strong customer focus and a results oriented approach complimented by your strong verbal and written communication skills, we would like to hear from you.Your working environmentVirtual/flexible/on-site/travel
