We have an opportunity for an experienced Reliability and Maintenance Manager to join our team, reporting into the Operations Manager, based at our facility in Rooty Hill. This role is a leadership role which holds key responsibility for line Defect Handling Process, Breakdown Elimination, Root Cause Analysis driver, preventative/predictive maintenance (PM’s) plans, review and improve Changeover’s. Maintenance project and breakdown support / coaching. Leader in IWS (Integrated Work Systems) plans and DDS (Daily Directional Setting). Reporting online condition and improvement plans.
Key responsibilities include:
- Prepare for and attend DDS and reconnects
- Work closely with production employees to build “one team” relationships
- Responsible for accurate maintenance results for the site, coach shift handovers of trades and team leaders
- Ensure training and support is given to the maintenance team in accurate completion of BE activities
- Support the Maintenance team to ensure defects are converted to Work orders. Check periodically the completion rate
- Investigate and coach Defect handling process and breakdowns from previous 24hrs
- From the 90 day plan ensure key root cause analysis is performed to “fix forever”
- Provide support to develop longer term strategies to improve on SU and SRE
- Attend monthly 90 plan, line improvement meetings, problem solving sessions, weekly maintenance scheduling meeting.
- Engineering capital plan input
- Safe Work Procedures followed All policies and procedures understood and complied with
The successful candidate will possess the following:
- Previous FMCG experience
- Proven leadership capabilities
- Advanced knowledge of Process Capability Analysis, Statistical Process Control, Process Improvement
- Training development and delivery
- Good time management and work priortising skills
- A proactive work ethic and a ‘can do’ attitude
- Great attention to detail and working to deadlines in a busy work environment.
- Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
