The Mine & Roster
Located in western Tasmania, this hard rock mine site is supported by a comfortable and well-equipped mining camp with a high standard of meals on offer. The preferred roster arrangement is a 4:3; 8:6 roster however open being flexible.
The Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Maintenance Planning, you will enjoy working in a team of experienced mining professionals to improve equipment reliability by continuously reviewing equipment serviceability and maintenance effectiveness. Your duties will include;-
- Manage equipment life-cycles, maintenance plans, and upgrade schedules.
- Analyze monthly equipment downtime to pinpoint improvement areas.
- Lead investigations into major equipment failures and downtime events.
- Report monthly equipment performance metrics, highlighting key downtime causes.
- Establish maintenance standards and frequencies for plant assets, guided by a structured approach.
- Define technical quality standards for maintenance activities and develop work instruction content.
- Oversee project life cycles from planning to execution, ensuring operability and maintainability.
Your Skills and Experience
You will come from a mining or heavy industry related background with experience on heavy industry machinery. You'll come armed with;-
- Relevant tertiary engineering qualification (Mechanical/Electrical)
- Experience with operating CMMS
- Experience in minerals processing and/or mining maintenance reliability
- 2+ years' experience in a similar role
- Demonstrated capability in effective communication, feedback and collaboration with others
