We are looking for a HME Reliability Engineer to provide strategies and tactics that enable cost effective, timely and safe maintenance to occur, ensuring assets are consistently available to meet the operational plan requirements. This role is a great opportunity for an analytical, safety focused Reliability Engineer who thrives on ensuring mobile plant machinery works effectively and efficiently.

Reporting to the Mining Maintenance Superintendent, you will be:
- Using data and reliability principles to focus improvement effort in obtaining optimal availability of the equipment.
- Reviewing, developing and improving maintenance tactics.
- Undertaking reliability performance evaluations, prediction and standardised reporting.
- Lead and conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for mobile asset failures.
- Conduct Incident investigations
What you will bring
- HME Reliability Engineering experience in the mining industry
- Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering with a solid background in a maintenance or engineering role.
- Safety focused with the knowledge and experience with heavy mobile equipment
- Ability to collect and analysis data to provide outcomes on how to make machinery work more effectively.
- Knowledge of Cat equipment
- ProAct RCA experience – desired
- Wenco & Trimble experience - desired

Where you will be working
Our Gove Operations have been supplying the global aluminium industry with world-class bauxite for more than 40 years. Located in Australia’s Northern Territory, each year the operation produces approximately 12 million tonnes of bauxite.
With a workforce of 460 people, daily activities include mine operations, maintenance, asset management, shutdown planning and execution, export operations, cultural heritage management, and closure activities following our decision to close the site’s alumina refinery and associated Residue Disposal Area in 2017.
We expect our bauxite mining operations on the Gove Peninsula will cease in 2030 and we are undertaking significant work to support closure of the operation. We also recognise our operations take place on Indigenous-owned land, and we are committed to working together to achieve a positive future for Nhulunbuy and the Gove Peninsula post-mining.
