Due to significant growth, UGL's Manufacturing and maintenance business is on the search for a highly experienced customer-centric & energetic Reliability Manager to join the Component Solutions Mining team. The role can be based in Brisbane or Newcastle.
About your role
The role of Reliability Manager will be to provide Reliability and Performance of Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Components. You will work directly with the NSW / QLD production teams, customers, suppliers, and other key stakeholders to support OHV Repair and return and UTEX work within the Component Solutions Mining business.
Your role will manage all reliability and performance issues providing internal and in-field product support technical discussions, investigations, and product reliability issues for OHV products.
Specifically, you will be responsible for:
- Support internal and customer component-related issues and ensure our components are built to our highest standards.
- Providing Warranty Management support and communication with internal and external stakeholders and manage the decision process
- Ensure all UGL components are built to OEM standards.
- Provide technical assistance and troubleshooting expertise to customers regarding OHV components used in mining equipment. This involves analysing and resolving technical issues, diagnosing problems, and recommending appropriate solutions.
- Conduct on-site visits to mining operations where OHV components are utilized. Assess the performance of the equipment, identify any issues, and provide support.
- Conduct training sessions and workshops for customers and internal teams to educate them about the proper use, maintenance, and troubleshooting of OHV Components. Develop training materials and documentation to support these efforts.
- Lead projects aimed at fostering growth and development in future product markets.
About you
You will have experience with overhaul or maintenance of Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) components, gearboxes, gearsets or electrically driven components. Experienced gained in the mining, rail, automotive, military, Defence, avionics, or any other safety-critical environment is essential.
Other requirements include:
- Relevant Trade - Mechanical/ Electrical experience or Engineering Degree
- A high level of business and commercial acumen
- Experience with working at the site level supporting technical issues, fitment and replacement
- Experience working on OEM mining equipment components
- Strong communication skills (oral & written), including business writing skills
- Experience in managing projects
- Excellent negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
- Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven.
