What you'll do
- Act as an escalation point for technology related issues.
- Ensure technical updates are rationalised and shared with internal team(s) e.g. Incident Commanders
- Liaise with key internal and external service provider teams
- Manage costs by estimating future costs for budgets (including licenses & maintenance) and charging Capex projects for your time (as required)
- Drive a standardised way of working. Eg Service Transition process, Support documentation etc
- Stakeholder and relationship management
- IT Service Operations (eg. ITIL) working with incidents, problems, changes and requests
- 5+ years relevant experience
- Experience working with Cloud based infrastructure and applications
- A strong track record in IT operations within large organisations
- Certification in one of the following: AWS, GCP, Azure, Kubernetes, Docker
- Experience working on various monitoring, and alerting tools
- A solid level of understanding of observability, alerting and alarming best practice
