An opportunity has arisen for a well-connected, high energy, and motivated Business Development Manager to join our Melbourne sales team. We are looking for a disciplined sales professional with a track record of success in new client acquisition. In this role you will identify and qualify new sales opportunities, create compelling buying visions to address client needs, as well as lead the efforts in proposal and closure.

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and nurture relationships with customers and prospects.
  • Take a strategic approach to winning new business, focusing on nominated industry sectors.
  • Deliver differentiated solution proposals to customers and prospects.
  • Collaborate with vendor sales reps for effective co-selling solutions.
  • Manage the complete sales cycle with autonomy, working closely with pre-sales and bid managers.
  • Develop and manage a robust pipeline of opportunities using our CRM platform.
  • Meet and exceed sales targets and KPIs.
Must-Have Requirements:
  • Minimum 5 years of Business Development Manager experience within a Managed Service Provider.
  • The candidate should demonstrate the ability to effectively communicate the unique value proposition of the company's products or services. They should articulate how the offerings meet the client's needs and deliver tangible benefits or outcomes.
  • Strong negotiation skills are essential for closing deals effectively. The candidate should be adept at negotiating terms, pricing, and timelines while ensuring that the deal remains favorable for both parties.
  • The candidate should demonstrate confidence and proficiency in closing deals.. They should possess the ability to guide clients through the final stages of the process with ease, ensuring a seamless transition towards deal closure.
  • Proven track record of highly successful solution-based selling in nominated industry sectors.
  • Hunter mentality with the ability to generate leads through networking.
  • The candidate should have a strong network of contacts, including vendors and customers, to foster relationships and facilitate deal closures effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Autonomous self-starter with a mature sales mindset.
