Job role / Key Responsibilities
As a WorkPac Health and Social Care Remote Area Nurse, you will be working in a strong Primary Care & Emergency focused Indigenous community. You will need to work autonomously to complete medications, conduct clinical assessments, emergency response, conduct post trauma/injury assessments and have broad knowledge of men and women’s health and other primary health care services. This is quite an active role with onsite training provided and a great team supporting you on site. WorkPac is ideally looking for Nurses who have worked in a remote/rural setting or have a real interest to expand into this area and serve the local communities.
About You
- 2 + years working in a rural and remote setting
- Must have completed 4WD training and be competent and willing to travel to remote communities
- Registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board (AHPRA)
- Working With Children Care (NT specific “Ochre Card”)
- National Criminal History Check
- Personal Vaccination Status – signed DOH form with evidence of Serology
- Drivers Licence – manual – (Must be competent I driving 4WD)
- Have current remote emergency management (REC) or equivalent emergency certificate (Every 3 years)
- Have current, recognised Immunisation provider certificate (AGV); (Every 3 years)
- Have current COVID Vaccination provider certificates for Pfizer and Paediatric vaccines
- Personal COVID-19 vaccine record
- Have current Maternity emergency management (MEC) or midwifery upskill or a commitment to completion within 6 months of first placement with CAHS PHC (remote) (Every 3 years)
- BLS (Annually)
- Must be ISTAT competent, certified and have access number
What we offer
- Base rates up to $110 / hour + Allowances + Super (Dependent on years of exp)
- Accommodation provided - Either Shared housing or single units in each community
- Flights provided to Tennant Creek
- Chartered flights or vehicle provided to communities.
- 4WD Vehicle provided to outreach sites daily
- Meals provided on-site.
