Experience Required: Chartered Accountant or CPA with experience in reconciling balance sheet items for non-profits
About us: We are a dedicated non-profit organisation committed to making a positive impact in our indigenous community. Our mission is to support and empower those in our community through various programs and initiatives. We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced female accountant to join our team on a part-time, remote basis.
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile balance sheet items and ensure accuracy in financial reporting
- Maintain and update financial records, asset registers
- Assist with audit preparation, budgets
- Assist in the preparation of cash flow for investment, inter-entity transactions
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards
- Support the finance team with ad-hoc financial tasks and projects
- Reporting directly to the CFO
Requirements:
- Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) qualification
- Experience in accounting for non-profit organisations
- Strong knowledge of reconciling balance sheet items
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and with a team to achieve organisational goals
- Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote working environment
- Insurance - Indemnity, Cyber insurance, Anti-virus per policy requirement
