The Opportunity
As the Repairs & Maintenance Administration Officer, you will provide extensive administrative support for a full range of services within the department. You will demonstrate professional and quality customer-oriented support to contractors, internal and external stakeholders.
Some of your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Ensure timely and accurate data entry in software programs and other databases, and/or spreadsheets;
- Cost and prepare invoices;
- Assist with weekly reporting as required for creation of monthly reporting;
- Ensure timely and accurate processing of work orders and the subsequent recording/monitoring of work order documentation;
- Monthly reconciliation to financially complete old jobs;
- Assist with preparation of journal entries including general journal adjustments, recoding expenditure or revenue;
- Provide back-up support during absences of the R&M Administration Team Leader;
- Work with the R&M Administration Team Leader to implement process improvements and update procedures as required;
- Assist the R&M Administration Team Leader with aged work orders.
- Minimum of a Certificate IV in Business Administration, or at least three years’ experience in business administration or a related field;
- Knowledge of the construction industry and the local government building industry are highly desirable;
- A basic knowledge and understanding of languages specific to Indigenous Australian's is highly advantageous.
