About the team
The People & Culture (P&C) team partners with the firm to ensure we have the right people for our clients and the right environment for our people to achieve our strategic goals. Our P&C is a diverse team spread geographically throughout the BDO offices in Australia.
Current opportunity
We have a newly created opportunity available for a Reporting Analyst to join our P&C team in either our Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney office. This role will initially be a 12-month max term contract with a view for extension for the right candidate.
This role will have responsibility for the production and management of report requests at both an operational and strategic level which supports and enhances decision making. You will play a key role in the set up and development of the P&C Analytics team and capability.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the P&C function in the areas of people metrics and reporting and be a subject matter expert (SME) for P&C analytics & reporting.
- Work with key representative to internal and external stakeholders to support P&C delivery on data and reporting requirements.
- Interact with all customers of P&C data to determine their needs, define the best approach to meet those needs and implement the solution.
- Create and maintain all reporting-related documentation, processes and procedures.
- Create visually appealing and easy-to-understand data visualisations, such as charts, graphs, and infographics, to effectively communicate HR insights and trends.
- Training and education of others (both clients and team) on the methods and value of reporting.
- Tertiary qualifications at degree level and relevant experience in systems, business intelligence, HR or equivalent.
- Reporting experience including knowledge of process and data usage. Knowledge of standard metrics and key performance indicators
- Good operational experience or knowledge with HR processes and systems related to core hr, recruiting, learning, performance management and overall people data.
- Ability to work independently and pragmatically with a structured (yet flexible) approach to solve problems and find outcomes that truly provide value.
- Experience presenting corporate reporting information using a range of presentation methods suitable for the consumption of senior management and Executive/Board level stakeholders.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders and present to a range of group sizes.
- Highly developed interpersonal skills to work with and manage a range of stakeholder relationships
- Advance Microsoft Excel is required.
- Power BI and Power Query experience is highly advantageous.
