The OpportunityThis is an opportunity for a Systems savvy accountant to join the Finance and Strategy Group, helping the team move forward in a period of transformation. Led by a forward-thinking CFO, they continue to attract a team of high performing problem solvers. The long-term strategy is to continually move towards an enabling environment where manual processes are streamlined, and data is used to drive smart business decisions as well as implementing a new corporate services delivery model which has resulted in a wide range of opportunities.
Join the team as a Reporting Analyst where you’ll dive deep into data structures, connecting the dots to build reports and custom solutions using systems likes PowerBI. Your expertise in understanding and navigating complex data tables will be instrumental in delivering accurate and insightful reports. By leveraging your skills, you’ll help stakeholders by driving data informed decision-making across the organisation.
The RoleKey responsibilities include:
- Collect and analyse data that support data quality and maintain a single source of truth
- Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain data governance processes
- Create and maintain reports within the Financial Information Management System and any supporting visualisation and reporting platforms such as Power BI
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and requirements for reporting
- Works with the Finance Enablement Team Leader to prioritise business needs and reporting requirements
- Supports implementing data quality checks to ensure the accuracy and consistency of data
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to increase the efficiency and effectiveness of reporting
The ideal candidate for this position is a qualified Accountant with a strong analytical mindset and who has a proclivity to Finance Systems. You will have experience in using reporting tools like Power BI or Tableau to be able to create and maintain reports, translating data into actionable insights, and identifying opportunities for process improvement and automation to create efficiencies.
Additionally, you will be known as someone who is naturally curious with good communication skills to build strong working relationships across the business. You will enjoy working on interesting subject matter, where your commercial insights will be valued and appreciated.
Salary / RateThe salary band starts at $112,116 + 15% Super.
