About the Opportunity 

As the Reporting and Analytics Manager, you will be responsible for insight generation and reporting which facilitates improvements in how Serco workforce is managed and delivered. Reporting to the Director of People Services, the role will work with stakeholders to enhance reporting capabilities, identify opportunities for automation of the reporting function and the broader user of visualisation techniques. You will ensure that best practices are being incorporated into data and insights in workforce management, operations and broadly shared across the organisation. 

What you’ll be doing   

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contracts and business units to facilitate effective partnerships
  • Provide strategic leadership and direction by planning, managing, and coordinating the development of workforce and people insight reports, including commentaries and data updates
  • Develop long term workforce models for future demand planning purposes
  • Undertake research and analysis to inform the direction and development of insights and the reporting suite
  • Lead, support and manage staff to produce reports including managing and supervising workload, performance, and development opportunities
  • Undertake and provide oversight on project management activities, including development of project plans, budgets, monitoring and reporting, and providing recommendations about identifying problems and managing risks
  • Develop systems and processes to streamline timely access to workforce data and reports at all levels of the organisation
  • Develop systems and processes to support staff access to benchmarked reports and data required for analysis and review. This includes review and alignment of data definitions between internal and various external sources
  • Ensure key suites of reports are validated and data sources established

About you 

You are an experienced, confident and driven Reporting and Analytics Manager who enjoys working independently as well as part of a team. Your exceptional eye for detail, problem-solving and communication skills will see you quickly grasp business requirements and prioritise essential activity. With a strong work ethic, you will be motivated to support, guide and lead the delivery of reporting and analytic strategies to meet business goals.  

Your ideal skills & experience   

  • Strong experience with workforce data management 
  • Well-developed technical skills, MS Office products and relevant technologies 
  • Experience across analytics, data visualisation and reporting as well as experience improving the effectiveness reporting, preferably in the context of workforce management, planning and/or operations
  • Highly developed knowledge and proficiency in commonly used data analytics and visualisation software packages (e.g Power BI), with the ability to influence the adoption and promotion of a data-driven culture
  • Experience within program governance/risk mitigation and draw on highly developed stakeholder engagement skills
  • Strong commercial acumen 
  • Tertiary qualifications in Business, Commerce, Business Information, or commensurate workplace experience
