About the Team
The Graduate Research School (GRS) is part of the UTS Research Division, which includes the Office of the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research), the Research Office, and two research centres. GRS is responsible for providing strategic leadership, innovation and excellence in research training across the University.
The School is central to meeting the goals of the UTS Research Strategy. Our aim is to produce the next generation of the research workforce to lead in industry, academia and professions and to become known as the destination for training for research careers in industry. The School works to achieve this collaboratively with faculties and other central units across UTS.
About the Role
The Graduate Research Administration Officer provides high quality administrative service and support for HDR students and the UTS research community through the effective and client focused administration of HDR admissions, scholarships, collaborative research degrees, candidature management support including examination and conferral process, researcher development activities, governance and compliance.
About You!
You will be an administrative expert, utilising your knowledge and judgement to resolve enquiries and administrative problems, to assist in decision making. You will demonstrate accountability in your role, focusing on stakeholder management and enhancing team effectiveness!
As the Graduate Research Administration Officer, you will:
- Manage enquiries on all aspects of HDR admission, scholarship and candidature journey matters aligned with UTS rules, policies and procures
- Provide high level administrative support and service to HDR students, academic supervisors and academic and professional staff
- Implement and manage effective data entry and collation of, and participate inanalysis and reporting of data related to admissions and/or scholarships
- Manage the records management lifecycle for HDR applications

- Excellent time management and organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise workload and to meet deadlines in order to complete tasks and achieve objectives
- Demonstrated ability to produce work with a high level of accuracyand attention to detail in a high-volume environment
- High level interpersonal, negotiation and relationship building skills with the abilityto maintain good collaborative working relationships with a diverse range of people and networks
- Understanding of accounting principles, practices and payroll systems
Remuneration & Benefits
Base Salary Range: $80,044 to $91,570 pa (HEW 5)
This role attracts 17% superannuation (pension) in addition to the base salary.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis.
