Summary:
We are currently seeking a full-time Research Assistant to join our dynamic team. This role primarily involves comprehensive research for potential guests and speakers for our events across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, ensuring we maintain the highest quality of content and attendees. The Research Assistant will also be responsible for outreach and follow-up on invitations to ensure successful event attendance, as well as managing communications with partners.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Specifically, the role focuses on market, industry and insights research, including and not limited to:
1. Research and Identification:
• Conduct in-depth research to identify potential speakers, guests, and dignitaries aligned with the goals and vision of each event.
• Stay updated with industry trends, breakthroughs, and notable personalities to ensure timely and relevant invitations.
• Maintain a database of researched individuals and organisations, noting key achievements, affiliations, and relevance to our platform.
2. Outreach & Invitations:
• Draft compelling invitation letters, emails, and other communication materials.
• Send out invitations and manage RSVPs.
• Conduct follow-up communications to ensure positive responses and address any queries or concerns.
3. Database Management:
• Update and maintain the Circle's CRM with information on potential guests, speakers, and existing relations.
• Track responses, attendance, and feedback from guests and speakers for future reference.
4. Collaboration:
• Work closely with the Events Team to provide information on researched individuals and ensure cohesive planning.
• Collaborate with the Marketing and PR team to ensure alignment in guest profiling and event promotions.
• Communicate with clients on RSVPs, content, and other elements relating to their partnership.
• Warm-calls to contacts to confirm attendance of events.
5. Reporting & Analytics:
• Prepare reports on research outcomes, invitation responses, and event attendance.
• Use data analytics to continually improve the effectiveness of research and invitation strategies.
6. Miscellaneous Tasks:
• Assist in on-site event preparations and management when necessary.
• Attend industry events, seminars, and workshops to stay updated and expand the network.
As the ideal candidate you will have the following personal and professional attributes:
Qualifications & Experience:
A bachelor’s degree in business, Communications, Research, or related fields OR demonstrated academic qualification, experience/capability in the required skills.
Proven experience in research, event management, or a related field is advantageous.
Strong English communication, both written and oral.
Proficiency in using CRM tools and data analytics software.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Advanced report and proposal writing skills.
Understanding of markets, sectors and industries across Australia, New Zealand and Singapore is advantageous.
