I am a Sports Physician who works with patients with long-term pain. I have researched and published on exercise-induced asthma, examination techniques, platelet-rich plasma and mesenchymal stem cells in osteoarthritis, and neuromodulation for treating various types of neuropathic pain. I have also participated in numerous first-in-man studies.
I aim to halve the pain of a million people. This is because chronic pain is a social disease. It not only affects the individual but family, friends, and the community around them. If we can halve the pain of a million people, we will change not only individuals' lives but also society. Many of my patients are highly complex. I want to answer some of the unanswered questions I face daily. I also have several novel ideas across different areas of pain that I would like to develop. I am looking for a research assistant to help with these goals.
With the aim of reaching a million people, we have an upcoming podcast, "It's Not in Your Head". The first episodes will air in early May. The podcast aims to explain and present a structure for approaching chronic pain backed by science. Your role will include researching and reviewing key topics in each episode.
