About the role
The Associate Research Nurse (ARN) is accountable to the Nurse Lead, Heart & Lung Program via the Study Principal Investigators for the provision of a comprehensive clinical trials start up, implementation, reporting, financial position and closeout of the overall trials.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide high level research and financial management for the Cardiology Heart Research Team. The ARN works collaboratively in coordination of all study activities with other Clinical Research Coordinators under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI). While the PI is primarily responsible for the overall, conduct, and management of the clinical trials, the ARN conducts the clinical research activities through coordinating the delivery of direct and indirect care utilising both clinical and administrative skills for Sponsored clinical trials, investigator initiated research and clinical quality registries. These activities are to be carried out in accordance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Guidelines; the National Health and Medical Research (NHMRC) standards; the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA); National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research and applicable state, federal, and international laws and regulations.
Qualifications
Registered or eligible for registration as a Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia and who holds, or who is eligible to hold, a current practicing certificate.

Essential Requirements:
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
