Our Federal Government client is looking for a
Research Data (Linux)
System Administrator to join the
Research Data Technology team, with the objective of enhancing existing
Research Data Management platforms while ensuring continual security robustness.This is inline with our client's ongoing software development efforts and aims to uphold compliance with ISO27001, ISM, and DSPF standards.
Scope of work:- Upgrading Linux Operating Systems across application platforms
- Re-deploying containerized applications and addressing any troubleshooting needs
- Implementing security enhancements for applications, operating systems, and networking
- Conducting a comprehensive review of privileged access across all systems and code repositories
- Evaluating Cybersecurity assessments
- Adhering to Change Management and Cybersecurity protocols
Essential Criteria:- Experience deploying Linux servers via Virtual Environments
- Extensive Linux administration skills
- Experience with Linux server hardening and firewall configuration
- Experience with containerised application environments such as Docker
- Experience in deploying environments via CI/CD tools
Desirable Criteria:- Advanced Web Application configuration experience
- Familiarisation with project and repository permissions on code repositories
- Familiarisation or experience with DevOps tools and processes
