Our client is offering an exciting opportunity for a dynamic individual to join their team for a 6-month contract, contributing to the development and support of their IT Infrastructure. As a key player in the technological advancement of their organisation, you will be involved in upgrading our client's server environments and further enhancing their platform.
Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Assist in the final implementation, testing, and configuration of an upgraded platform
- Determining security configurations for restricted access based on document classifications
- Performing final configuration to ensure desired functionality
- Modifying the UI to adopt our client's styling and meeting end-user needs
- Upgrading server infrastructure, applying software patches, and security updates
- Re-installing software during the transition to upgraded server infrastructure
- Contribute to the Software Development process for our client's Research Data Management Tool
- Collaborating with software engineers on NodeJS application development
- Configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployments and suggesting improvements in security scanning
- Assisting in server platform upgrades and redeployment of containerized platforms
- Understanding of document classification and announcement and release/circulate caveats
- Some previous technical experience or adaptability to skills such as:
- Web Methodologies (NodeJS, Typescript, CSS)
- Linux administration and Web Application configuration (Apache, Tomcat, Solr)
- Modifying and deploying backend and frontend web applications (Java, NodeJS, Yarn, PM2)
- PostgreSQL Database installation & configuration
- Apache Solr Search Service configuration & usage
- Creation and configuration of Virtual Servers for hosting web applications
- Deployment of web applications via CI/CD pipelines with customization abilities
Location: This role can be based in either Canberra, Melbourne or Adelaide
Contract term: 6 months
Security Requirements: To be eligible for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen. Due to the work environment, our client has requested that all candidates are required to hold a current NV1 Security Clearance.
